Callie took us on a tour of her room, which was hilarious, because she didn't want to, because she said her room was messy. In the video I'm going to post, it shows her trying to tell us that the neatly made bed next to hers is her bed, not the messy unmaid one next to it. It was soooo funny!!!
Her main caregiver, whom I don't know her name, was with her. She was visably not real happy, but I had a feeling it was only because will be taking Callie home with us and away from her. This was confirmed later, when we returned from lunch, and Callie's social worker at the orphanage asked our social worker, Alice, if the caregiver could please meet us at the airport on Friday evening to say a final goodbye to Callie. We told them to tell her we would love it if she came!
Can't wait to pick her up tomorrow! She's ready, we're ready!
Our first family photo - A.C. (After Callie)
I've been following your blogs lately! So glad that Lily can now eat all the Taiwanese food she likes and most importantly meet her cute little sister :)) I really hope I could be in Taiwan with you and meet Callie :(( Can't believe I'm sitting here in the library while you are all in Taiwan >< Well, I guess I’ll just wait until the next time I go to the U.S to meet Callie then....
ReplyDeleteHave funnnn in Taiwan! I miss you all :)) Can't wait to meet Callie... :)))
We wish you were here, too! Good reason to come back to the states, again :)
DeleteMaybe when you are done with school, we should introduce you to Richard Kuo, Lily's friend. The company he works for just got the deal for the new Taiwan twin towers building. He was very excited about that. It sounds like an excellent company to work for here in Taiwan.
I am so happy for all of you! I wondered if she was going to be really nervous about leaving Taiwan. What a relief that it all is going so well. Its got to be so comforting for her to see Lily, who went through the same experience, and is going to be her big sister. What an awesome family you have!
ReplyDeleteI'm hopeful, today, when we pick her up, she'll still be happy!
