Man, that's a long flight! 13 hrs. 20 mins. to be exact, but just glad to be at our hotel. It's almost midnight here, we are 13 hours ahead of EST, if you're curious.
Tomorrow we don't have a lot planned, other than doing some investigating around our neighborhood and watching Lily eat everything in sight. She already wanted to go to the night market, but I told her we could wait until tomorrow, we're all tired.
We may be meeting Callie on the 23rd in the morning, instead of the 25th. We should hear by tomorrow. We won't be able to take her, yet, but getting to meet her early would be awesome! I can't wait to see her again, and Rick and Lily are excited to meet her for the first time.
Thanks for all the prayers to get us here :)
Yeah You all got there!
ReplyDeleteJust some FYI stuff. My hubby was looking at the AIT website and noticed that AIT is closed on the 28th and the 1st. That would make it impossible to go back after our appointmnet (2/27) to pick up our daughter's visa. We spoke to Chung Yi through our social worker and they said we could get a same day visa, but had to get our I-600 and DS-230 forms in now (we scanned them and e-mailed them). I think your appointment is the same day as ours. Just please check to see if you can get Callie's visa the same day or if you need to get your forms in sooner so they have time to process the visa. Can't wait to see you all!
Hi Lori: Yes, they told us this yesterday. They already had our 230 forms, but didn't realize it. They have submitted everything and told us we'd get the visa the same day on the 27th.
DeleteHoping your trip here went well! You should be arriving soon, I think. Hopefully, you can make it to church. I'm sure you'll be tired, like we were!
